As I’ve posted previously, there’s a new player in the fields of glory for affiliate marketing newbies and pros alike. It’s called CB Profit Club (which stands for ClickBank Profit Club) and is being set up by no other than John Thornhill, a successful online marketer with more awards than I care to remember.
Among other things, he’s a 9x ClickBank Platinum Vendor, meaning in short that he generated over $250k with his products on the platform that year. That says something about him, doesn’t it? He clearly knows what he’s doing, and is a man to listen.
John is actively developing this membership with his team and I can honestly say I liked the sound of it the moment I’ve seen his announcement.
What I thought CB Profit Club was at first
At first glance, CB Profit Club seemed like just another training membership portal. Since I’ve done my fair share of buying shiny objects (yes, I’ve spent thousands for stuff that’s slowly dying on my discs now…), I was not really into it. It’s true that every new piece of knowledge is welcome, but the entry point seemed too high for that. Just to put it into perspective, it was at $495.
However, after watching John explain his idea a bit further, I became much more interested. And here’s a short summary of what CB Profit Club actually is, but let’s start at the beginning of an idea.
The base: ClickBank Affiliate Marketing
ClickBank, which is among the largest affiliate portals, operates in 190 countries of the world, has over 100k active affiliates promoting products listed there. It’s been around for 27 years and has paid over $7.1B in commissions so far. Quite impressive, don’t you think?

Being a veteran on ClickBank himself, John says he suddenly realized he haven’t published a product focusing on ClickBank affiliate marketing at all. Kinda funny. But since he’s also a top marketer, the decision was made quickly to create exactly that – a membership where most of the focus would be targeted towards making money with ClickBank affiliate marketing, while also actively building real business assets, such as an email list.
For good measure, he’s adding the digital product creation training also.

What CB Profit Club definitely IS NOT
It’s worth mentioning the one thing CB Profit Club definitely IS NOT.

Far from it.

The reason I’ve put the word almost in Bold is that one thing is still missing – and that’s the member’s dedication to do something with it. Yes, if you’re determined to follow the training modules, use the tools provided, and do it every day, success will follow.
Just buying your membership ticket will not do you much good, you must be aware of that.
The CB Profit Club phases
The membership itself if planned to launch in three phases.
Phase 1 is over now – it was only published to a select existing customers of John’s previous products, and I was lucky to be in there too. We’ve practically bought a system in construction phase, where we supported the team and the portal.
Phase 2, which is active right now, is the phase where the membership portal is being filled with content – training videos and all. The most important thing is that in this phase the CB Profit Club membership went public, meaning all the members can immediately start promoting it for a fat 75% commission. You read that right – if you join before April 13th (the announced date of Phase 3), you’ll get your link and can immediately start promoting the whole system. All while learning the ins and outs of ClickBank affiliate marketing.
Phase 3, which is planned for April 13th, will see the membership go fully public. At that time, everyone will be able to join for free at the basic level of access that will give them the basic and intermediate training access, along with the lowest commission rates for promoting it.

During Phase 2 and Phase 3, he commited to bring traffic from his own email campaigns to the members of the CB Profit Club. How will this work?

Phase 2
During Phase 2, John will give 50% of all his traffic to the top-level members. Here’s how it works.
- John will send 50% of the traffic towards the CB Profit Club through the rotator and use top-level members’ links.
- This goes for his email traffic as well as traffic from the ClickBank Marketplace.
- When your ClickBank ID is up, the traffic will be tagged with your ClickBank ID, so you get all the credits.
- When someone signs up this way, you receive 75% commission for the sale.
- John is planning around 50 email campaigns during the Phase 2 alone.

The important number here (for us) is the second one, 2,862 unique clicks to the link. This means that over 1,400 clicks went out with the members’ ClickBank IDs. Now, I don’t know the exact number of members right now, but I can estimate it – since my link has received 28 clicks in that week from John, I can say that around 50 members were included. Plenty of room for new members. 🙂
Since John’s rotator is based on the first-in-first-out method, the sooner you get in (less members), the more free traffic you will get.
Phase 3
During Phase 3 of the CB Profit Club membership, when it’s publicly available, John will even give 100% of his traffic to the top-level members.
Moreover, he will do so for a period of at least 12 months.
This literally means hundreds and possibly thousands of free clicks to your offer. How does that sound?
And since it will be free to join, all members will be able to build an email list through the CB Profit Club access pages.
Very important!
While it’s great to sit around and let John send his traffic over, there’s little chance you will ever get successful if that’s all you do – check the What CB Profit Club is not above. In order to really get something meaningfull out of the CB Profit Club, you have to drive traffic yourself. And yes, inside the membership you have all the training needed to do that fast and successfuly.
Conclusion: Building your own email list with the CB Profit Club
Like already mentioned numerous times, having your own email list is the most important asset you can have in affiliate marketing business. It’s a list of contacts you own and can mail over and over again, spreading your thoughts, teaching, and of course promoting other products to them.
This is what actually brings real money in.
So following the calculation above once again, if you receive 2,000 clicks during these 12 months, you will most likely have a list of at least 500-600 people that are interested in that specific method. Using paid sources like ads and solo ads, every subscriber would cost at least $1, more likely $3. And they would never be so specifically segmented.
If any of these contacts buys anything inside the CB Profit Club, you get commissions. Simple as that.
This way, joining for $495 right now does not seem like a cost anymore, but rather an investment. And I like the sound of that a lot.
